**NOTE** Due to the revised rules, I do not need to take a penalty for poaching life fruit–I simply won’t get the bonus that comes from getting life fruit the old-fashioned way. Also, regarding rolled traits–I will roll for traits when I can pick them, but I won’t always take the first trait that comes up.  Why? Because I don’t know how many times I was stuck with an evil child in my legacy, but it was ridiculous.  I can handle one child with an evil trait, but tons of them–no thanks.  If I see a trait repeating, I’ll roll again for variety.  Bleh.

That was cute! ^_^ I really enjoyed Prudence’s WYD, so it was nice seeing her again. Penalty for the way you obtained life fuit- maybe just take off one point? It’s not like the challenge will be a piece of cake just because you managed to get a life fruit. You might have been able to find a life fruit seed on the first day (ha!) and that’s about the same (except this way you know for sure you have one). So I don’t think the penalty should be too severe.

Maia Jway: Thank you for reading and commenting! It was hard to let Prudence go, and when several readers suggested that I keep her in another WYD and that I have her provide the life fruit, I thought it sounded like a fun story.

I’ll keep thinking about the penalty–luckily, I have until the challenge is finished to see how much I think it helped. I have more than one life fruit at this point (anytime she visits Pru and there’s life fruit blooming she’ll take it), but it would be easy to restrict her to using only one.

I don’t think you should be penalized. I remade the Black Widow challenge from The Sims 2, and I allowed players to restart with a child of the Widow, though from baby one.

Maybe you should ask stircraxy if you can get a similar thing for this challenge, therefore having no penalty, due to you continuing from Prudence (ish) and working for the life fruit in the first place.

ElliotDX: I might ask her…though she’s already made a rule named after Prudence Breedgood to prevent people from failing the WYD challenge in the way I did, lol…

Maybe I’ll do something akin to that rule (called the “Miss Prudence Breedgood’s Consolation Prize”), in which Ophelia can avail herself of the life fruit to make ambrosia without penalty, but I forego the ambrosia bonus.

How about that how ever many life fruits you took, you must put back into that garden? It’s sort of a penalty, seeing what you need given away. Plus it makes sense.

ElliotDX: Something like that might work–it would require me to have Ophelia skill up to be able to plant life fruit, which wouldn’t be so different from the challenge rules.

Don’t penalize yourself darlin’, if we’re being technical, and sometimes it pays to be technical, there is nothing in the ruleset about *how* you acquire your life fruit. 😉

Stircraxy: Oooh…..that’s a splendid point….I never thought of it that way…. 🙂 Thanks for pointing that out!

Yeah, it doesn’t matter about how you aquire your life fruit. Who cares? It’s your awesome challenge, plus Ophelia’s adorable. I would also love her in my game, if that’s not to much of a hassle.
